Why should you stay in the Farm at San Benito? | Overview

We were really craving for some nature and escape from stress and exhaustion. Life in Metro Manila is so fast and busy. Which is why we decided to try the Farm San Benito, the five-star holistic resort in Lipa, Batangas. Mother nature knows best, as they say.

And nothing beats the relaxation and healing powers that nature has to offer. Lipa, Batangas earned its moniker “Little Rome of the Philippines” because it’s home to several Catholic churches, convents, and retreat houses. So it’s no wonder why people love going to this place.

The scenery and local attractions are a relaxing escape from all sorts of stressors. But this mountainside town has a hidden gem tucked within a sea of trees, where pure bliss and nirvana are right at your fingertips.

Where is the hotel located? | Location

The Farm at San Benito is an eco-luxury holistic medical wellness resort in Lipa, Batangas, which is about a 90-minute drive from Metro Manila.

But if the traffic situation isn’t so good, your travel time could be longer.

The Farm already has 60 prestigious international awards.

They were even hailed as “Best Medical Wellness Resort in the World” by SENSES Germany.

There’s no doubt why The Farm at San Benito is one of the leading medical wellness destinations in the Asia-Pacific region.

The environment nourished our entire bodies and all our senses.

We truly found inner peace and felt rejuvenated the entire time in the resort.

It’s best to spend at least two or three nights at The Farm if you really want to unwind and relax to the fullest.

You wouldn’t want to rush a vacation, right?

What about the rooms? | Accommodation

The Farm offers different accommodations, with a mixture of traditional and modern options.

What we loved about the accommodations was how they were able to use both native and modern materials and decorations.

You have to try the semi-outdoor shower in your room!

It was so impressive because even taking a bath made us feel one with nature!

Sulu Terrace

The Sulu Terrace has two single beds, good for two adults.

It resembles the kubo, or the traditional Philippine rice barns, but with a modern twist. It had a wood-beamed ceiling and thatched roof.

The way they were built and the materials they used made the Sulu Terraces cool and fresh, even with the air-conditioning turned off, because of .

What we loved about this modern-day treehouse was its cozy and rustic vibe. Additionally, the sitting area downstairs was very lovely.

There were pillows and cushions, so it was instantly our favorite spot to just hangout.

Palmera Suite and Palmera Glass Villa

The Palmera Suite and Palmera Glass Villa are two of the modern accommodations at The Farm.

They have about 12-foot high interiors and glass windows everywhere, so the suite and villa are bright and offers a beautiful view of the lush greens outside.

The Palmera Suite and Glass Villa have a semi-private garden and lanai as well.

We even caught a glimpse of the peacocks freely wandering around in our garden!

Anahaw Family Villa

Named after the Philippine national leaf, the Anahaw Family Villa is inspired after the traditional leaf-roofed houses.

The unique loft design allows up to five adults to fit in the 50 square meter villa.

The Anahaw Family Villas are situated in the hillside, with a view of a stream.

Garden Villas

The Garden Villas have two types and are set in their own private gardens.

The Garden Villa has a lanai as well, while the Garden Glass Villa has massive glass windows everywhere for a nearly 360 degree view of the garden.

Narra Pool Villa

The Narra Pool Villa is on the ridge running along the stream.

It has an infinity swimming pool with outdoor and covered terraces, a daybed, and even a private garden surrounding the entire villa.

Master Villa

The Master Villa is all about privacy, comfort, and tranquility.

Moreover, the villa is inside an energy vortex.

It’s an exceptional, spiritual energy spot of measured positive healing energy – as observed by a German professional “Radiastaeth” and a Filipino Astrologer.

Guests will surely be relaxed and rejuvenated by being close to the healing vortex plus having the relaxing view of the garden and slopes of the Malarayat mountain range.

The Lakan

This is the most exclusive (and probably the most luxurious) accommodation. You get a private swimming pool and a beautiful view of the garden and koi ponds.

Bamboo Villa

The Bamboo Villa is surrounded by the lush green forests, which you can admire from the villa’s spacious lanai.

Mahogany Villas

Nothing more relaxing than waking up to the beauty of the jungle.

And that’s exactly what you get if you stay at the Mahogany Villa.

Each villa has a terrace that opens up to a private pool. The Mahogany Pool Villa is 300 sqm wide, while the Mahogany Luxury Villa is double the size and has two bedrooms.

What to eat or drink? (F&B)

While their therapies and environment is good for the mind and soul, their food definitely nourished our bodies very well.

You could even enroll in their Food Preparation Class and Raw Food Culinary Retreat if you want to dabble in vegan and raw food preparation and learn the techniques they do.

The Farm at San Benito has two restaurants, and they mainly serve gourmet vegan meals.

We had a lot of nuts, vegetables, and herbs. It was impressive how many interesting dishes can be made with the freshest and simplest ingredients.

We loved the vibrant colors of the food and ingredients, and they taste just as good as how they look.

Alive! Restaurant

Contrary to common belief, vegan food isn’t boring and bland.

And Alive! might just even convince you to go vegan.

The food at Alive! Restaurant really made sure our taste buds were alive. Every dish was flavorful and made with the freshest ingredients.

Some of the best dishes are the Banana Heart Ceviche, Apple Cinnamon Pumpkin Soup, The Farm’s Vegetable Curry and Chapati.

They also had an extensive selection of refreshing smoothies, which perfectly complemented our food.

PESCE (pronounced as /pesk/)

PESCE also offers fresh organically produced ingredients just like Alive! But just as the name suggests, PESCE serves pescetarian dishes.

Their menu focuses on health and the longevity of life, and was even inspired by the Mediterranean Blue Zone diet.

They had soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, and very delectable main dishes such as the Eggplant Melanzane and Fish Head Curry.

Hotel at the Farm

What to do? A Unique Experience (Facilities & Service)

There are a lot of things to do at The Farm.

And all of them were centered around wellness and rejuvenation.

We knew what activities were available for the day because we were given a schedule every day.

Yoga

The environment at The Farm indeed is the perfect place to do yoga.

It felt so good to clear our minds, breathe in the fresh air, and do yoga outdoors, among the trees and plants.

That’s something we couldn’t do back in the metro. So we made sure we savored every minute of our yoga sessions.

Power Walk, Functional Fitness, and Golf

Meanwhile, power walking and functional fitness may be better for those who aren’t into yoga or would like something more dynamic.

The sunset power walk in and around the Farm and surrounding towns was 4.7-6km long (we didn’t get lost because there was a guide).

The functional fitness included HIIT, circuit, and core training. Great for those who like rapid and rigorous physical activities.

Besides those, there’s also a 27-hole championship golf course 15 minutes away from The Farm.

Just ask the front desk for information on the schedule and additional charges.

Relaxing at the main pool is also a great joy after an intensive workout session.

Wellness Programs

Above all, the extensive menu of wellness programs is what’s famous about The Farm at San Benito.

These programs were designed with a holistic approach to health and overall wellbeing.

There are Health Optimization Programs, Cellular Health Programs, Executive Health Programs, and Aesthetic Programs.

The program/s you’ll choose will be customized based on your needs and medical history.

So you’ll be answering a health questionnaire before your visit for better assessment.

We did not try them as we were already enjoying our time with the location and the different access to some facilities.

But if we go there again.

I want to try the flotation pool in the Acqua Hydrotherapy Sanctuary.

There are a lot of programs and you can find their details on The Farm’s website here: The Farm San Benito | Health Optimization Programs.

From immune support programs, holistic wellness, detox cleanse and other health programs.

Conclusion

Spending our weekend gateway at The Farm was one of the best decisions we took to escape the business of Manila.

Obviously, it’s pricier than most hotels around. So you have to keep this in mind if you’re planning to go there.

But if you’re looking for treating well your mind and your body. That’s the one of the best places to stay at.

The atmosphere helps you to relax right away.

We are really advising this hotel for couples as it can be a very romantic and intimate trip.

My girlfriend and I spent such a great time there that we won’t forget our experience for sure!
