When I was a student in Paris (A few years ago already), I remember going to famous museums on the weekend like Le Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, and Fondation Louis Vuitton.
Growing up in a small French Provincial Town, I wasn’t immersed in such an environment. And those musée with impressive collections were a treasure full of surprises for me. Over time and Knowledge, I started to admire those famous artworks more and more. Van Gogh, Pissarro, and Lebasque… several masterpieces easily accessible when you live in Paris. Not necessarily in Manila. Something needed to be done.
8 months ago, when our daughter Ellie-Sophia was born my whole world changed. I wanted to have time to watch her grow, so I started a family project following my values and passion for art. It was evident for me to create Musée Joli. It was my way of connecting France with the Philippines.
What is Musée Joli, and what do we do?
At Musée Joli, we produce museum-quality vintage art using the Giclée Fine Art Print method. We give a second life to artwork painted by masters from Europe and make it accessible to Filipinos. It’s my way of bridging culture between France and the Philippines. Again, the story of my life.
Our Giclée Printing process faithfully reproduces artworks using the finest inks and papers available today. A world away from mass-produced posters, we pride ourselves on creating beautiful, affordable fine art prints in-house, tailored for interior lovers. And we frame them locally.
What’s the Giclée Fine Art print Method?
Giclée Printing (Giclée is pronounced gee-clay with a soft G).
Let me start with the basics! The term “Giclée” is derived from the French word “gicler,” which means “to spray” or “to squirt,” and it refers to how ink is applied to the paper or canvas during the printing process. Giclée printing is used in the reproduction of artworks, photographs, and other fine art prints.
We make our prints using archival pigment print. We use the same ink, paper, and printing techniques as museums and fondation worldwide. You could find our reproduction in Le Louvre, the Met, or Moma.
Giclée Print stands apart from all reproduction methods because of its vibrant tonal range and the handmade feel of its beautiful textured papers. When done Authentically, the quality of a giclée print is far superior to all other forms of printing. In short, this is the closest reproduction method possible for matching an original artwork.
What kind of artwork can you find at musée Joli?
I’m passionate about all kinds of art, so our extensive collection comprises works from many museums around the world, from Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, and Camille Pissaro, as well as many lesser-known artists with vintage artworks.
We are still a small company and our collection of Fine Art prints is growing every day. With Celina, my partner, we love exploring archives from museums worldwide and restoring beautiful artwork to give them a second life. We do one thing at a time, but we do it well.

We have over 120 designs on our website and even more in our archives. From the classic impressionism art of Camille Pissarro to the bold portraits of Egon Schiele. There is a piece for each art lover. Let me show you some pictures.
Our creative process when creating Fine Art prints
During the pandemic, when borders and all activities were closed, Celina and I loved to go through archives from Museums and Foundations worldwide. And we found so many gems! It was like walking through the alleys of famous museums but from my chair.
at museejoli We do everything artisanally. So first, we have to select and restore all the visuals we want to print. We apply a color profile and enhance the quality to print in high resolution. It generally takes most of our time, but when passion is here you don’t count.
Once we have the design, it’s time to print it. Each visual is different, so we need to pick the correct setup and ensure everything is ok.
Once we have our giclée Print, it’s time to pick a frame that will highlight the beauty of an artwork. Framing can make or break a visual, so we take our time in this process.
We frame locally to ensure a top-notch quality product and also, that Musée Joli gives a living to Filipino artisans.
The whole process takes around one week. So when I said that Giclée Print is far from industrial printing, it is very far. Behind those beautiful prints, there is some heavy work. But we love it!
Fine Art print on demand and custom orders
Following requests from artists, business owners, and individuals, we started to offer custom order services. You can send us a high-resolution file, and we will print it for you. We are a small team, so we take pride in offering customization and outstanding quality service.
Last thoughts
In a world where art holds the power to inspire, provoke emotions, and elevate the ambiance of your living space, Musée Joli stands here as a beacon of excellence.
On a personal note, I’m having so much fun running this company. I spent hours in our workshop, crafting Fine Art prints and making our customers happy. But at the end it’s all worth it.
