The Philippines is bespeckled with gorgeous beaches and lovely islands.

They attract tourists from all over the world. And one of the most famous beaches is found in the island of Boracay.

The 3.5 kilometer-long white beach of Boracay has been divided into three segments, namely Station 1, 2, and 3.

Each station is dotted with diverse hotels and inns to cater every budget. With the grandest and most luxurious hotels found in Station 1.

But experiencing luxury and living in paradise doesn’t always have to be lavish or cost you big bucks.

Villa Caemilla is a boutique hotel that offers an award-winning luxurious vacation experience in one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Location

Boracay is 308.83 kilometers from Manila by air.

Although there are several ways to reach the place, we opted to take travel by plane.

Since it’s the fastest way to get there.

The first time we went to Boracay was actually random. As we traveled with our friend Daniel Marsh, a popular vlogger in the Philippines.

And one day, decided to take a random flight at the airport. It happened that Boracay was the given destination.

Check out the vlog!

There are no direct flights to the island. So all guests would have to fly to either Caticlan or Kalibo airport.

We opted for the Caticlan airport because it’s closer, but the flights to Kalibo airport are generally cheaper.

Villa Caemilla had a service van to take us to the Caticlan Jetty Port from the airport, but there are also tricycles that can take you there.

If you’re arriving from the Kalibo airport. Your trip to the jetty port would be approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes via van or bus.

And finally, we had a 10-20 minute boat ride from the Caticlan Jetty port to Boracay island.

The charming Villa Caemilla Boutique Hotel is found in a laid-back part of Station 3.

Situated right in front of the beach and surrounded by evergreen palm trees (they’re very tempting to climb!) that sway as the sea breeze blows.

Its location is very convenient.

Easily accessible to the buzzy Station 2, but offers the peacefulness and serenity of Station 3.

Accomodation

Villa Caemilla has 39 rooms in total, offering various accommodations to cater groups of different sizes.

The hotel looked like a large private beach home at first sight. The facade was a villa-style building, where the beachfront restaurant and lobby are located.

Past the main building are two long wings that had three floors, and about 17 rooms per story.

There is a small garden that separates the two sections. And all the rooms except the Family Suite and Executive Suite have this as a view.

The rooms are stylish and modern, and have a soft earth-tone palette.

Which blends perfectly with the environment and gives the spotlight to the sparkling waters of Boracay island.

Each room has a 50-inch cable television, mini bar, air conditioning, hot and cold shower, bathroom amenities, Wi-Fi connection, and complimentary coffee and tea facilities.

The Executive Beachfront Suite is one of the best rooms they have.

The spacious 40 to 60 sqm room can accommodate up to five people, and offers an unobstructed sea view of Boracay island.

That means you can marvel at one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets at the comfort of your own room. The Family Beachfront Suite is the biggest room in Villa Caemilla, ranging from 60 to 82 square meters.

The king size bed, sofa bed, and completely carpeted floor makes it perfect for families with kids, or a large group of up to eight people.

Solo travelers, small groups of three at most, and couples may opt for the Junior Suite, Premiere Deluxe, or Superior Deluxe Rooms.

These rooms have a queen size bed, but the premiere deluxe is slightly bigger (32 sqm) and has a sofa bed.

Some super deluxe rooms have a private balcony, while the premiere deluxe room and junior suites offer a panoramic view of the lush garden.

Food & Drink

Villa Caemilla had their own beachfront restaurant that served local and international dishes, which includes delectable seafood, salads, sandwiches, and pastas.

Outdoor dining was also available.

Where the hotel’s beach attendants can take food and drink orders if you’d like to enjoy your meals while having a closer view of the picturesque, turquoise sea and digging your feet in the creamy, soft sand.

The restaurant had food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. But we were also able to enjoy other dining options from nearby restaurants in the vicinity.

They weren’t difficult to find since all we had to do was take a scroll down the beach.

To wind down after an exhausting day filled with activities, Villa Caemilla has a Happy Hour promo at their restaurant.

So guests can watch the sunset while enjoying drinks from their extensive selection of fine wine, champagne, and cocktails.

Facilities & Service

Besides the roundtrip airport transportation, Villa Caemilla also had a complimentary shuttle that took us to other parts of the island.

Better inform the front desk of your plans. And check with them whether the shuttle service will be available for you.

Upon arriving, the hotel greeted us with Welcome drinks, lay and cold towels, complimentary water canisters, and a complimentary fruit basket.

It was an excellent way to welcome and relax the guests after the tedious journey to the island.

Since the property is relatively small, the atmosphere was relaxing, serene, and intimate.

Boracay will definitely make you forget about working out and sticking to your diet!

The beach was the main attraction; the hotel had private lounge chairs, and beach attendants to offer towels and accommodate other needs.

Most of the water activities and nightlife are in Station 2.

If you’re seeking for thrill,. You can ask the hotel reception to make sea sports and island activity arrangements for you.

But if partying is what excites you the most. Take the sunset as your sign to prepare to have the night of your life!

The beach got packed with tourists when the sun started to set.

The wild but quiet station 3, our favorite place in Boracay.

It was mesmerizing to watch the sky. It turns to different hues from orange and teal, to pinks, violets, and deep blue.

The sunset is and will always be beautiful in Boracay.

Once the sun was down, that’s the time when the bars came alive. The nightlife in Boracay is truly amazing. We had good food paired with great booze, and jammed to electrifying music played by live bands.

Our Special Word

Villa Caemilla is one of our favorite places in Boracay.

With several guests of the hotels and locals passing by. We watched a crazy fight between Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman.

All cheering for our Filipino boxer, it was one of our favorite moments there.

This was made possible because of the great intimacy that the hotel can create.

For this occasion, they also made available a special buffet that was just perfect.

Eating some fresh fruits and good food right in front of the beach was the only thing we wanted in Boracay!
